The Banquet brought together close to 100 students, educators, and other members of the community to honor excellence in mathematics, computer science, and critical thinking. Upon arrival the guests were warmly welcomed by one of the hosts of the night, Sue Kutcher. They were then greeted with their name tags and a program for the nights events before being directed towards the events central location where they could have a seat with their friends and families. In addition to the award ceremony, the Sacco Banquet included a sensational Italian dinner with the choice of pasta, meatballs, salad, dip, and a variety of drink options for the attendees. After getting food the guests were able to sit down and socialize with the other guests at tables around the room, creating a warm and welcoming start to the evening. This atmosphere was accompanied by live music performed by a talented guitarist. 

While socializing, the guests had the option to partake in several activities set up around the room. The first of these activities included a math themed sip and solve crossword puzzle and a photo booth with a variety of accessories. The sip and solve offered an engaging collaborative activity for some of Harford County's brightest, guests repeatedly visited the table throughout the evening to see how much progress had been made. Prior to the award ceremony portion of the evening, the guests were instructed to form teams for the next activity: Sacco Olympiad. The Sacco Olympiad gave teams two math problems to solve within 20 minutes. The guests were incredibly engaged in the activity as they worked together to find the best solution while not revealing their answers to nearby teams. The activity was a remarkable demonstration of the mathematical and critical thinking skills the banquet was celebrating. 

The evening came to an end with the award ceremony which brought the guests together to celebrate the exemplary achievements of their fellow guests. All of the student and educator winners were adequately celebrated before the celebration shifted to the individual award winners. Highlights of the ceremony included Nara Anusonti-Inthra from the Science and Mathematics Academy being named Mathematics Student of the Year with Tammy Webber from Aberdeen High School being awarded the educator equivalent. Emma Shook of Bel Air High School was awarded the Community Award while Seth Blood and Robert Scott from Havre de Grace High School were respectively awarded the student and educator Mike Franklin Computing Awards. John Kutcher encourages all the winners to give back, use their skills, and be leaders, pushing themselves in life even though they can coast. 

This year, the Foundation awarded nearly $10,000 in scholarships and educational grants to support academic achievement and classroom innovation.  

Since its founding, it has now awarded more than $150,000 in scholarships to students and over $14,000 in grants to educators. 

Tammy Webber from Aberdeen High School was named the 2026 Sacco Foundation Educator of the Year for carrying on Dr. Sacco's legacy by implementing creative teaching methods and demonstrating a passion for mentoring students. This award was accompanied by a $500 grant to support educational materials and classroom initiatives.

Robert Scott from Havre de Grace High School was awarded the Mike Franklin Computing Award for his continued dedication to guiding students with an interest in computer science and coding. This award was accompanied by a $250 grant to support educational materials and classroom initiatives.

The Transformation Guild is a mentoring program of Technology 4 Causes, which was launched by the Kutcher Foundation in collaboration with DICORP, Inc. to create a powerful philanthropic impact through the multiplying forces of technology. The Guild is dedicated to harnessing the power of writing and technology to create a positive impact in society. Our primary focus is to engage and inspire young writers to craft compelling stories that encourage involvement in non-profit organizations and charitable initiatives. By providing guidance and instruction through mentorship, we ensure that these young writers receive the necessary support to thrive. Through participation in this program, they gain invaluable experience while contributing to a greater cause.

All landing pages identified as "Delivered By" the Transformation Guild have been created by student interns participating in the Guild, giving them the opportunity to strengthen their professional writing and technology skills while making a meaningful, positive impact in their communities.
