2026 Home Runs for the Homeless
For 18 years, Home Runs for the Homeless has united local businesses, community members, volunteers, and baseball fans to make a lasting difference for families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Harford County. Presented by Harford Mutual Insurance Group and benefiting Harford Family House, the annual charity home run derby raises both critical funding and awareness for the organization's mission of providing shelter, housing, and supportive services to those in need.
This year's event continued that tradition of generosity, while setting a new benchmark for success. A record 33 teams stepped up to the plate, making the 2026 tournament the largest in the event's history. Together, participants, sponsors, donors, and supporters raised more than $100,000, the highest fundraising total in the history of Home Runs for the Homeless. Building on last year's incredible achievement of more than $80,000, this milestone brings the event one step closer to its ambitious goal of reaching $1 million raised by the 20th anniversary.
Every dollar raised stays in Harford County, directly supporting emergency shelter, transitional housing, case management, transportation assistance, food, and other essential resources that help families achieve lasting stability.
Beyond the competition on the field, Home Runs for the Homeless represents the power of a community coming together with a shared purpose. Every team, sponsor, volunteer, donor, and supporter plays a role in creating brighter futures for neighbors facing homelessness. Their generosity continues to transform lives and strengthen the Harford County community for years to come.
