2024 Recap
Success!!!
We are thrilled to announce that the Homeruns for the Homeless event was a resounding SUCCESS! Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of individuals and corporations, most locally owned, we’ve raised an incredible amount of $65,000+ for Harford Family House!
Every dollar raised brings Harford Family House closer to fulfilling their mission: helping families, individuals, and young adults break free from homelessness by providing housing, support, and resources that improve financial stability and mental well-being. Your contributions are more than just donations—they are the promise of a brighter future. With your help, someone is one step closer to having a safe place to call home, enjoying regular meals, and finding the stability they deserve.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making a real difference in our community. Together, we’re changing lives!
A Close Battle!!
This homerun derby was far from a one-horse race; first place was not secured until the very end. With an immense effort, the Bel Air Police Department claimed first place with their six homeruns, helping them achieve a total score of 2,260 points. However, close behind were The MMM Team, CrossCountry Mortgage, who took second place with 2,020 points, hitting three homeruns. The JHU Bomb Squad secured third place with 1,935 points and four homeruns. Despite JHU Bombsquad hitting one more home run, The MMM Team, CrossCountry Mortgage managed to consistently hit the ball further, securing their higher placement.
The Top Cop Of Baltimore!
Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley competed in this years competition!! We are excited to welcome such an esteemed individual to this years event! Richard Worley has been serving the community since 1998 when he first joined the force as a trainee. Just last year in October, Worley was sworn in as the Baltimore Police Commissioner.
Worley competed on Team BPD which amassed a respectable score of 1090! We loved meeting him and hope that he may grace us with his presence next year as well!
Golden Man
Paul Smeton made his mark early in the Golden Arm competition, setting a formidable score of 17 that left everyone in awe. But Paul's achievement goes beyond just numbers—it’s a testament to his incredible resilience and unwavering spirit. As a four-time cancer survivor, Paul has faced challenges that would stop most in their tracks, yet he continues to push forward with tenacity and strength.
His performance in the Golden Arm competition is more than just a display of skill; it’s a powerful reminder of his indomitable will and the courage he carries with him every day. Paul’s journey is a beacon of hope and inspiration to us all, showing that no matter the odds, perseverance and determination can lead to extraordinary outcomes.
Congratulations, Paul! Your remarkable achievement in the competition is a celebration of your strength and spirit!!
A Good Day on the Field!!
