Local nonprofits will be collecting some of their most-needed items at Harford Helps Community Giving Day. If you'd like to help out, browse the wish lists below and bring donations for as many organizations as you’d like. Every donation helps meet a real need right here in our community.
The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region
We partner with people with disabilities to create lives of independence, connection, community, and possibility.
The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is collecting:
Gift Cards: Such as Walmart, grocery stores, and general-purpose gift cards. These gift cards help purchase program supplies, culinary class ingredients, recreational materials, and other individual needs as they arise.
Arts & Crafts: Such as yarn, crochet hooks and needles, coloring books, crayons, and other creative materials used across multiple programs.
Harford County Education Foundation
Harford County Education Foundation invests in the success of our students by removing barriers to learning and empowering every child with the opportunity to achieve academic and personal success.
Harford County Education Foundation is collecting:
School Supplies: Notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, backpacks, and other classroom essentials.
Children’s Books: New or gently used children’s books for a variety of ages and reading levels.
Choose Hope Women's Center
Our mission is to love people to life, before, during and after a pregnancy decision.
Choose Hope Women's Center is collecting:
Baby & Toddler Items: Donations of baby and toddler essentials are welcome. Current high-priority needs include:
· Diapers: Especially sizes 5 & 6
· Baby Formula: Similac Advance (blue)
· Baby Wipes
· Toddler Clothing: Especially sizes 2T & 3T
Other baby and toddler essentials are welcome and appreciated!
We do not accept large baby items such as cribs, highchairs, baby seats, or other larger baby equipment, please contact St. Mark’s Outreach Center directly to arrange your donation at https://www.saintmarkfallston.org/outreach-center.
Aberdeen ReStore - Habitat Susquehanna
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna brings people together to build homes, community and hope in Harford and Cecil County.
Aberdeen ReStore - Habitat Susquehanna is collecting:
Small Furniture: End tables/side tables, nightstands, coffee tables, small bookshelves, small dressers, small desks, chairs, lamps, and other small, easy-to-transport furniture.
Housewares & Home Décor: Dishes/china, glasses and stemware, decorative pillows, candleholders, vases, framed art, picture frames, crystal, decorative pieces, artificial plants, and baskets.
Small Appliances & Electronics: Small appliances, flat-screen TVs, speakers, and computer monitors in good working condition.
Bridge to Community Center
- Sensory & Fidget Items: pop-its, stress balls, textured fidgets, sensory toys, and other calming items.
- Noise-Reducing & Comfort Items: earplugs, noise-reducing headphones, sunglasses, or other items that can help participants manage sensory input.
- Sensory Bag Supplies: reusable drawstring bags or pouches, communication cards, small notebooks, pens, and other practical items to create complete sensory/support bags.
The EPICENTER
- Nonperishable food for our Aberdeen Neighbor's Market (Food Pantry)
- Vegetables (corn, green beans, peas)
- Canned or packaged fruit
- Soups
- Beans
- Canned tuna or chicken
- Rice
- Pasta & pasta sauce
- Other unopened, nonperishable foods are accepted & appreciated as well.
