Meet Melissa
My first trip to Cuba changed me in ways I never expected.
I went on a trip to connect and to experience culture—but I came home with a heart forever marked by the faith, strength, and warmth of the Cuban people. From the moment I left, I felt a quiet but undeniable pull to return.
Now, I’m answering that call.
God has placed it on my heart to go back—not just to revisit, but to continue the work He began in me.
Melissa & Cuba
How many times have you visited Cuba?
Two times.
Why support Cuba?
I’m not going back to Cuba for recognition or adventure—I’m going because I believe God still has something He wants to do there, and He’s asked me to be a part of it- and when God calls, I go.
This next mission is about obedience and compassion. I’m excited to reconnect with people I met before, build new relationships, and serve wherever I’m needed.
Whether that’s sharing the Gospel, encouraging the local church, or simply being present, I’m going with an open heart and a willingness to follow where God leads.
What is your favorite memory/thing about Cuba?
During my first trip, I saw the power of simple presence: listening to personal stories of people living a life I was only seeing a snapshot of.
It reminded me that ministry isn’t always grand or dramatic—it often looks like quiet acts of love, truly listening, and honoring each person’s unique story.
