Hi everyone!

During the school year, I enjoy supporting UMD athletics and attending classes on our beautiful campus. One of my favorite things about UMD is its proximity to Washington, D.C., and the Bethesda area, which I often explore on weekends.

In my free time, I love hiking, listening to music, going to the beach, shopping, and taking pictures!

Skills I gained

After reflecting on this incredible experience, my big takeaways are:

I learnt how to...

  • Develop Landing Pages
  • Overcome challenges through communication and teamwork
  • Write more meaningful and technically

What did I work on this Summer?

Teammates 4 Hope

Teammates 4 Hope is a dedicated toolkit and inclusive platform for athletes, their families, and sports communities facing life’s challenges. We understand that everyone’s journey is unique and believe that no one should navigate their struggles alone. Our mission is to foster a network of support, offering guidance, connection, and hope to those who need it most. Whether you are personally facing difficulties or simply want to make a positive impact, you have the power to uplift others. Here, we offer a safe space where individuals can access valuable resources, or request a personal page in which members can share stories, and connect through anonymous experiences. Together, we can make a difference and build stronger, more resilient teams—both on and off the field.

Collaborated with Harford Financial Group and other partners to brainstorm ideas for a financial literacy initiative aimed at teaching high school students the importance of managing their money for the future. During this time, I also worked closely with HFG to promote our upcoming Golf Tournament, for which they generously became the title sponsor. My contributions included designing a personalized landing page to support their sponsorship.

My Role

Accomplishments

This summer I had the pleasure of

  • Working with Dr. Hessler to organize a mental health talk to the Baltimore Urban Baseball Community. (BUBA)
  • Working with my mentor Matthew Blair, when developing Landing Pages.
  • Meeting with Jon Darby and others to discuss the vision of Mental Health in Athletics and what we can do.
  • Brainstormed topics like "What is interest?" "Making a Budget", "Debit or Credit which is right for me?", etc, when developing the Frugal Fanatics Program for BUBA Community.
  • Helped find sponsors and advertise for the charity golf tournament on August 18th.

What an incredible summer! I’m truly grateful for the 10 weeks I spent with Technology 4 Causes through the transformation guild. Beyond the valuable experience and lessons I learned, I also gained a family. Connecting with people from so many different walks of life was both eye-opening and deeply touching. I will cherish this experience for years to come and I know this is only the beginning of a bright future. Thank you T4C!
