We are so sad to say goodbye dear Eileen. We will miss sharing our unique travel adventures; like the time you crashed into several elderly Chinese tourists on the Great Wall in China. In Paris as we lined up to ascend the Eiffel Tower, we saw a man floating down from above! There was the time in a famous Spanish Cathedral we lite candles discovering that we were supposed to pay in advance as we exited. Our best trip was to Italy. Gypsies stole my wallet in the Rome train station, but Eileen caught the girl with her hand in her purse. In Venice I fractured my wrist, and in Florence I was hospitalized albiet briefly for dehydration, but it was a great trip. In fact it was our favorite trip. But what we will miss the most is you Eileen, you being your quick witted, fun, indomitable, generous of heart and spirit and our dear, dear friend.

So very sorry for your loss. May the angels accompany her to paradise.

I fondly remember Eileen from many events at Uncle Tom’s house, Tom and Jill’s wedding, and gatherings in more recent years at Tom and Jill’s house. She always greeted everyone with a big smile, and I enjoyed many good conversations with her. My deepest sympathy to Nelson, Susan, Leigh Ann and your families!

Such a lovely lady with a wonderful sense of humor. It was a gift to know her.

OC and particularly Summer Palace is not the same without her presence. You’re in our thoughts and prayers. May she be at peace. May you be comforted by your lovely family during this difficult time. She was a hoot and a gem of a woman. May her memory be eternal. To your grandkids… she loved to talk about all of you and was so excited to share your achievements. We loved hearing those stories. Be well.

I will be forever grateful for the day I met Eileen as a dental patient of mine. She would always have me laughing at each of our visits. She was such a kind person who spoke so dearly of her family. Always a positive, upbeat lady. Even when she was not feeling her best, she was more concerned with others. I will miss her smiling face, gentle nature and friendship. My heart goes out to Nelson and family as you heal.

Eileen was a strong woman. I really admire the way she fought her illness with such optimism and faith. Our family wishes yours comfort and peace after this loss. May Eileen be at peace, contemplating the immutable mirror of eternity, embraced in the arms of our heavenly father

I loved seeing her each summer at the beach. Her warm smile, cheerfulness, and love of life was uplifting for both me and my kids, who she watched grow up. She was like family to us and we will miss her so much. She was beautiful inside and out and I feel so blessed to have known her.

We sure had some great times together meeting in Charles Town and visiting, we attended many events together, some fun, some sad. My prayers are with you and your family.

Jeanne and I are heartbroken over the loss of Eileen. She always had a wonderfully uplifting manner and was a joy to talk to and be with. We know her loss will be a tremendous loss to Nelson and their family, and we wish them only the very best . We will miss Eileen.

A picture is worth a thousand words!

I remember Mrs. Weller being at our many softball games at JC. She cheered us on and ehad the most infectious laugh. Christopher and I are remembering all of you in our prayers each night and during our morning rosary.

I cherish countless memories of my wonderful, beautiful aunt that have significantly influenced my life, shaping me into who I am today. From joyful days spent on the beach to countless moments of invaluable guidance and a lifetime of medical advice regardless of the hour - your wisdom and knowledge have been a constant source of comfort, surpassing any doctor. You've taught countless lessons on love, family, and having a sense of humor in all situations. The messages and photos shared here are a testament to your positive impact on so many lives. I am forever grateful and inspired by the difference you've made in my life and the lives of my children and grandchildren. You are the best aunt ever, and I treasure you more than words can express. 

Labor Day weekend at the beach 2018

I have two favorite stories about Eileen. My first is how she insisted someone was in her cabin on her cruise ship boat when in reality she climbed aboard a completely different cruise ship and entered someone else's cabin. Very funny story and it helps solidify that Sue was not adopted. My second favorite story is about how Eileen and my dad would compare family stories and who could top who with experiences. It's amazing the potty mouth that would come out of the two of them.

Our Thoughts and prayers are with Eileen. Our daughter Camila loves her very much, and that is enough for us to love her too. May Eileen always be accompanied by the smile of our mother Mary.

Greg and I are heartbroken to hear this. We do not have enough words to express our love and gratitude for the way our Jillian and Madi were accepted and embraced by your family. As were we! Our girls are blessed to have you all in their lives. Struggling for the right words to say, but please know that you are in our prayers for peace and comfort.

Thinking about my fairy god mother and all the fun times she and my mom had together. We sure were lucky kids to have them as moms.

This was my Birthday Greeting to Eileen on June 3rd of 2023. I wrote, Happiest of Birthdays to you, Eileen Weller. The "Best Storyteller", ever!!! When you speak it is like E F Hutton, we all stop and listen. Love you my friend ...

My favorite story is one my daughter, Lauren, mentions often. You went to school to help with your daughter’s class. One of her students looked at you and asked “who dat be, your grandmother”. I’ll never forget the story or how mad you were at being called your daughter’s grandmother!!! I could recount many more stories!! Eileen, you are the best storyteller I know!! Love you lots!!!

There has always been a special bond between those of us that were in the youth group and the parents who were there, helping and supporting us every step of the way. We’re all a big extended family. I also felt a strong connection to you because you were the only other Eileen I knew for quite some time. I’m glad we’ve been able to stay connected far beyond my high school years. Your positivity and caring nature have always put a smile on my face. Sending you lots of love!

Mommom, we love you so much! Your smile brightens the room and you sure know how to make someone laugh. You welcomed me with open arms and I am forever grateful. You have a very special place in my heart. There is a village supporting and praying for you and Poppy. 

Too many stories and I feel so grateful to have them.

We love you so much and are so blessed the girls have had you as a “bonus” grandparent. I will always remember you bringing Madi to meet Ellie for the first time at the hospital. Such a special memory. Sending you lots of love and prayers. 

Frank and I have had so many wonderful visits with Nelson and you! Oh, the fun times we have had, weddings, anniversaries and other such times. You brighten up a room with your smile and I love you so!!

The story of “Olly” — Back when I was around 17 or so, I was over the Weller’s house. Her Dad would say her name like “ah-leen” and with the “n” a bit silent I thought it was a nickname. So, one day right after she had vacuumed the living room, I pushed the carpet fibers to make a huge “OLLY” that filled the room. From that day on that was my name for her, and it stuck pretty good with a few others. Prayers for everyone.  

Amazingly even from back in the early 80’s an old school picture of this was taken, later digitized, and actually located by Sue on the family photo archives Mr. W has been building for years.
