About

Steve grew up in Fairfax, VA and started playing baseball when he was too young to remember.

He learned about the DCMSBL from a co-worker at a happy hour. He didn't know there was a hardball league for adults and hated softball, so jumped at the chance to play real baseball again. He began playing in the DCMSBL in 2002 and has played for the Fairfax Delta 88s, 88 Mustangs, and Mustangs Baseball Club. He can't pick out a single favorite memory of his, but has tons of fond memories and stories through playing with a core group of guys over so many years; lots of laughs, many championships, some tough losses, and lasting friendships.

Remarks

"I'd like to thank Mike Lacomb - friend, teammate, and manager. A few years ago, I was injured in the offseason and didn't think I should play the following Spring. Mike talked me into giving it a shot and ended up having one of my best seasons - it's emblematic of Mike because he seems to know when players need encouragement or a kick in the pants to give it their best and will always be grateful for that."

Additional Mention: "My wife, Kristin, for always supporting my love of baseball and encouraging me to keep playing all these years."
