DCMSBL News
The Season is Upon Us!
The DCMSBL/T4C would like to wish all managers and players a successful and healthy season!
18+ Managers - the 2025 Spring/Summer schedule has been released. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at dcmsbl@dicorp.com.
30s, 40s, and 50s managers, your schedules will be posted next week. Please keep an eye out for them!
Best of luck to everyone this season!
Free Agents
With the season quickly approaching, we wanted to give an update where we currently stand with free agents in each age group, as well as some general reminders to managers and players:
- Managers should send an email to Harrison Swartz (hswartz@dicorp.com) when requesting free agents. They should not post on the Facebook group or respond to those posting about being a free agent in the Facebook group.
- If you are sent a free agent and they join your team, please inform Harrison Swartz so he can move that player to your roster. Do not have the player create a new registration.
- If you are sent a free agent and they do NOT join your team, please inform Harrison Swartz so he can try to place the player on another team.
- There are a number of free agents available in the 18+ division. Most if not all are non-pitchers.
- There are very few free agents available in the 30+ division.
- There are currently ZERO free agents in the 40+ division.
- There are a handful available in the 50+ and 60+ division.
Field Maintenance
As a general reminder, teams are required to follow the field maintenance rules specified at each field. When playing at Fairfax County HS fields, you should rake AND fill all holes created on the mount and around home plate. Field maintenance for Loudoun County and Montgomery County regional park fields are the sole responsibility of those agencies, meaning, our teams are NOT allowed to do anything to those fields.
In addition, BOTH teams need to assist with field prep and close down. Also, when you leave your game, please make sure to pick up all trash and take home all of your belongings.
To view field maintenance rules, click the button which will take you the "locations" page of the DCMSBL website.
70+ Division Expansion
The 70s division, now in its second season, has expanded from two to four teams! A great success in the inaugural season, there was plenty of interest among managers and players to expand the division. The four teams and their managers for 2025 are:
- Cardinals (Heater Heatley)
- DC Nats (John Ambler and Jeff Levine)
- Mudhens (Duane Willoughby)
- The Spirit (Bob Shelton)
There is very limited availability to join the 70+ division in 2025. If you are interested, please contact us at dcmsbl@dicorp.com.
