Funding the Final Inning
Our Mission
The Final Inning Campaign is a fundraising initiative dedicated to honoring the extraordinary legacy of Coach Robert Babb and securing the future of Hopkins Baseball. This $2.5 million campaign aims to establish a robust endowment to support two full-time assistant coaching positions and other vital resources, ensuring the program continues to attract top-tier scholar-athletes and coaches. By participating, you can play a pivotal role in sustaining the excellence of Hopkins Baseball for generations to come.
This campaign celebrates the remarkable career of Coach Babb, who will retire following the 2025 season after 46 years of leadership. Under his guidance, the Blue Jays have achieved over 1,300 victories, six Division III World Series appearances, and 18 Centennial Conference championships, while earning the distinction of 26 Academic All-American honors- more than any other coach in history.
Join us in making a difference today by supporting this monumental effort to preserve the legacy and future success of Hopkins Baseball.
Each year, the Hopkins Baseball program relies on annual fund contributions to support and sustain our assistant coaching staff. Historically, the program has been able to support one full-time assistant coach, but the creation of a first-class endowment will allow Hopkins to add a second full-time assistant coach while reducing reliance on the annual fund. This is the most important priority for the future of Hopkins Baseball and holds deep significance for Coach Babb, as it ensures the next head coach will have exceptional support. The Robert Babb Endowment Fund will secure the program’s long-term success and ensure the Blue Jays continue to have the nation’s best coaching staff. Your support isn’t just a one-time gift- it’s an investment in the program’s success and excellence for decades to come.
