Paul, we have known each other for such a long time. Along with you, and our fellow baseball and softball teammates, we are a family. When one of our family members are are doing well, we celebrate. When not, we all are upset. We celebrate the great man you are, but hurt as our brother goes through this step in life. Hello Paul! I heard you’re battling once more. You are a true warrior. But in true David vs Goliath fashion I know you’ll be victorious once again. You’ve made a true impact on me as a player and as a person. I’m not saying that just because of your current situation. You’ve taken the time to mentor me on the field and in the dug out and it’s meant the world to me. I’ve heard similar statements from many others that we play with. Paul, I am just learning about this outlet to make contact and the latest on your battle with this dreaded disease. You were always a great friend of mine on the ball field and a true meaning of courage. I don’t know how you continued to play and played well. Such a fierce competitor and a fine man. Being involved in the medical field now for almost 40 yrs, I was in constant amazement how you continued to play while being sick and dealing with treatments. It is a rarity. I never heard you complain! I am proud to know you and proud you are my friend! You keep fighting and keep that head up! I know you will! Get back on that field!!! If there’s anything I can ever do for you don’t hesitate to ask. You’ve got friends down here on the shore. We’re rooting for you and know you will come out on top!!
